Lightness and Harmony

The idea of lightness lends way to thoughts, dreams and images of harmony with our horses. It is not something that is an end goal, but rather a way of being & moving with our horses. This series will help you attain a greater degree of harmony, softness, fluidity and physical comfort.

About the Event

WHAT IS IT?

We welcome you once again (or for the first time!) to join our global community of riders in May and June (May 19 - June 23) for a fun, relaxing and informative series of 6-classes to Improve Your Riding From Home!

If you are new and would like to ask questions before signing up, please join and post your questions to our student's only Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/744761582959942

Signing up entitles you to join both classes on Wednesdays, at 2 pm EST (20:00 Europe), and 7 pm EST (4 pm Pacific).

Reserve your spot today, get the early bird pricing and classes are less than $30 each (or $15 if you attend both classes). This is quite the value considering the potential of what can be learned!  We all have the potential for improvement of how we move, sit and ride. If available, individual classes will be $60 each.

Registration allows you to attend both classes held Wednesdays at 2pm EST (20:00 in Central Europe) & another class 7pm Eastern (4pm Pacific).  If you wish, you may attend either or both classes!

Each 50-minute to 1 hr long class will be followed by Community Q&A with our participants --- like minded riders across the world!

WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT THIS SEGMENT

There exists a "less is more" way of riding that is a core concept of classical riding, but often reserved to rehab riders or horses. But why not take this approach, to prevent tension and injury, in order to chip away at our training and competition goals. Slow and steady! This doesn't mean putting competition goals aside, but it certainly can help neutralize the pitfalls that may show up while attempting to prepare to compete.

This series is intended as a follow-up to the previous series, BUT all Feldenkrais lessons are stand alone, so no previous classes are required.

This series will (more than others), be geared towards pain prevention and pain relief. So, if you have been cautious about joining due to pain or fitness levels, now would be a suitable time!

And for those who have no pain, expect to find a new degree of comfort, awareness and subtlety to your movement and riding.

Because what we practice is a sport and because horses are large animals, it is normal to end up with some level of self-limiting beliefs around the topic of harmony and lightness. Who knows, after this series you may even begin to experience a state of Zen and harmony that you previously believed was fairytale!

As a bonus, at the end of the series you will receive a free introductory training video to begin to explore hands on Feldenkrais (Functional Integration), using touch - so you can begin working with your horse adding another dimension to relationship building and suppling work.

WHEN IS IT?

Class is held every Wednesday from May 19 through June 23 AT 2:00PM - 3:15PM EST & another starting at 7pm Eastern/4pm Pacific*

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: May 15 Midnight EST, or before if class fills

VIDEOS

*If you miss class, you are entitled to 1 video recording per series. Please ask for your videos by writing an email indicating date missed, at the END of the series of 6.  Please not before.
