This is a series of DTM Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® lessons for riders. The theme of these related 6 classes is Skeletal Strength.

This is the same series that is currently being taught on zoom.

"Strengthen" Your Seat and Bone Density! Equilibrium through balance of opposing forces.

DTM SKELETAL STRENGTH
Power and grace in your seat. A kind of strength that is very different from core strength. Plus maintain and improve bone density!

Ever wondered if there was something besides core strength, or even general fitness that could help you ride your best? A different kind of strength, based on science and easily learned. But so effective, even NASA uses this type of training for their astronauts to avoid bone density loss when out of gravity.

Or maybe you're just looking to keep yourself supple, and absorb riding in a simple way. Perhaps even benefit from "hard" training rides? No matter your starting point, this course will help. AND, the biggest benefit, it is designed specifically to maintain and improve bone density.

According to recent statistics from the International Osteoporosis Foundation, worldwide, 1 in 3 women over the age of 50 years and 1 in 5 men will experience osteoporotic fractures in their lifetime. Every fracture is a sign of another impending one. Osteoporosis has no clinical manifestations until there is a fracture.

DTM SKELETAL STRENGTH, a series of 6 classes to not only empower you to immediately ride better, but this series is based on the work of Feldenkrais Practitioner Dr. Ruthy Alon - the inventor of a program to improve bone density, reversing and preventing Osteoporosis. One in three women aged over 50 will have a fracture due to osteoporosis. But you can take steps to protect yourself, and your loved ones.

You will be revitalized by these easy yet energizing lessons, leaving you feeling great, riding better and understanding biomechanics in a whole new way.  Space is VERY limited, enter early.

Photo below of a DTM class held in 2020 at Poinciana Farm, covering the basics of similar material - using the wall to require movement through the skeleton (filtering and directing concussive forces coming in to us as we ride). Doing so in a correctly aligned way will improve bone density as an added benefit, but we ride better immediately.

“I often recommend Feldenkrais to patients in my chiropractic practice. Dave is a pioneer in marrying a technique that teaches body awareness to riders. He is on the cusp of a huge movement that is going to sweep the dressage world, as we better understand how our physical body can be changed through cognitive methods. He has furthered my understanding of the changes that I can make in my body to be a better rider. I strongly recommend that you investigate the Dave Thind Method,” stated GP dressage rider and Dr. of Chiropractic Medicine, Lauren Dembkoski Adelizi

And from Dr. Hollis Day, MD: “You have to experience it to believe it. I have first-hand, witnessed and experienced powerful, undeniable and almost unbelievable improvement in both posture and motor function using the Dave Thind Method,” attested Dr. Hollis Day. Dr. Day, who is Chief of Geriatrics at Boston Medical where she cares for medically complex older adults. She is also trains and competes in dressage

“Dave’s highly advanced knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics and how humans learn is something every rider can benefit from," she added.
